Dynamo, Arabe Unido, Cruz Azul win

MEXICO CITY (AP) The Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer, Panama club Arabe Unido and Mexico's Cruz Azul picked up victories Wednesday in the first round of group play in the CONCACAF Champions League.

Brian Ching scored in the 68th minute to lift Houston to a 1-0 victory over El Salvador's Isidro Metapan in Group A.

Ching, a second-half substitute, scored seven minutes after entering the game. Fellow second-half sub Stuart Holden sent a through ball into the area to Ching, who fired a shot past goalkeeper Alvaro Alfaro.
