booksWelcome! The Michigan Center for the Book sponsors the Author Visit site to promote literary events throughout the state of Michigan. You can find information on how to arrange author visits and links to related sites. We encourage you to use AuthorVisit-L to find libraries to collaborate with and to share tips and techniques. Collaborate with Other Libraries

• Collaborating on Author Visits and Events
Collaborating with other libraries can share the costs and the work to bring an author or performer to your community.

The AuthorVisit-L listserv is a way to find other libraries interested in sharing planning and costs for author visits and programs. You can post about authors you are interested in having visit, programs you'd like to do as a group, or program materials you would like to share. You may be able to find a school, public or academic library near by that has the same idea as you!

For more information on other libraries in your area, you can also check the Interactive Library Directory.
