This area was beautifully remodeled by two of our Carnegie Mellon alumni, Carrin Rogoff and Catherine Schaeberg in 2004. Here our students can host music nights, as the café has a stage and café-style seating to give it that relaxed “metro” feel. The café also has a state of the art cappuccino maker, complete with great quality coffee and tasty syrups to add a bit of flavor. Also in the Café is the Sheila and Alex Cohen Israel Marketplace which includes a well-stocked selection of Israeli snack foods. This room can fit between 20 - 45 people comfortably with expansion for double that amount in the adjacent foyer. To view a tour of the Café, click here.

The Goldston Center is a one of a kind, state of the art multi-media center designed to offer one of the largest repositories of information, music and video resource materials on Jewish topics of any Hillel in the world. In addition to a comprehensive library of every Jewish organization in the United States, the center also showcases the rich Jewish community of Pittsburgh as well as the myriad of cultural opportunities available throughout our great city. In the summer of 2007, the Goldston Center, will showcase approximately 400 dvds covering Jewish topics ranging from Israel, the holocaust and Jewish history to the latest Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller Movies and even The Big Lewboski! Users are able to enjoy this on an awesome 42" HDTV Sony XBR flat panel monitor supported by a Yamaha surround sound speaker system that makes it all come alive. Also in the center, there is a vast collection study, intern and work study opportunities for jewish college students around the world as well as approximately 400 pre-selected websites for research and learning. Also in the summer of 2007, the center will be adding a new collection of modern Jewish music in the post 1950s era that will include thousands of Jewish songs from classic Israeli rock to modern hip hop, and all the Jewish performers you AND your parents can remember. If its not here, just tell us, and we will work to add it to the collection. To view a tour of the Goldston Center, click here.
