Welcome to BBC HD
BBC HD is the UK's first free-to-air high definition channel. It offers a wide range of programmes from across all BBC channels - from Strictly Come Dancing to The Proms, The Tudors to Britain from Above, and major sporting moments like Wimbledon and Euro 08.
BBC HD currently broadcasts between 6.20pm and midnight with extended hours at weekends and for live events that are in HD. This will increase to nine hours a day during 2009.
January is full of new and exciting programmes on the BBC HD channel including Your Country Needs You, Being Human and Lark Rise to Candleford.
