If you have bought the book the information will be in there. If you have subscribed on-line the information is available by logging in using your log-in and password.

For a limited time the schools own responses to the Sen questionniare are available to everyone - some 3000 schools have completed the SEN questionnaire. Select the school(s) you are interested. There is an SEN tab on each school's page.

On-line subscribers who've paid for on-line access should see all content in the sen and other sections as well as all the school reviews - just make sure you log-in.

We name some schools in The Good Schools Guide -Special Educational Needs but it's difficult to say without knowing which parts of the country you can access, the age of your child and the severity of the condition.

Have you tried using our advanced search feature? Select any details that apply and under the SEN details tab select the severity of ADHD (mild, moderate, severe). I recommend you click the 'Now provide for in school box.' The drawback with the search is that it will only show you the schools that have filled in the SEN questionnaire (over 3000 schools have but we'd love more to).

Remember state schools should look to make provision for your child and put in place any appropriate provision unless they can show that to do so would prejudice the needs of other children.

hi i am a mother of a globally delayed child and am currently searching for a school in leicester that can cater for his needs and will actually do something, unlike the school where he is currently in.

hi hope some one can help.i have just been informed by my childs school that because he can't say his R and T sounds clearly they want to put him on the schools sen list, he is maintainning the national average in his learning and he is only six, this seems a little harsh,i can't find any sen criteria to argue this with the school,can anyone help ? please .

Don't panic but please do speak to school and find out their rationale and how they intend to help, you have a right to be fully informed and involved. Please rest assured, being on the SEN list has nothing to do with intelligence, many children are on SEN lists and the schools lists for gifted children.

However, if a child is to be given a little extra help, in any way, it is not unusual to place a child on the SEN register so that help may be given. It could be that school think some intervention from a speech and language therapist may be helpful or they want to have targets to help him. Usually if an outside specialist is involved - such as a speech therapist coming into school, the child will be placed on school action plus. School action means extra help is given from within the schools own resources (they may for example have specialist help with speech from their own resources.

Please don't be too alarmed, many children are placed on the SEN register temporarily to enable them to get a little extra help - it certainly isn't a sign that a child lacks ability.

My own child had speech therapy and loved it - his speech wasn't as clear as it should be (I don't think I realised how much until he was assessed - parents tend to understand their children's speech) - Thanks to that early intervention he now has a very clear reading voice and is confident about speaking in public. He wss lucky to get the help when he needed it.

If you are a subscriber you can see where pupils at English state schools have come from. This information is available on the individual school's pages. Enter Nonsuch High School into school name search to locate the individual school page.

There is the opportunity to enter your postcode and see which schools you appear to be in catchment for. (School catchment areas green menu - which schools are you in catchment for?)

NB please do not rely on this system to give more than an indication of potential catchment area. School catchment areas change and rules are complicated. These maps are based on data about pupils entering school in September 2007 and earlier years (we expect 2008 data to be available early in 2009). ALWAYS ASK THE SCHOOL OR LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY FOR PRECISE INFORMATION. Remember different schools have different schools admissions policies too.
