Nortec Collective’s electro norteño vibes have finally mastered their way into full-length recognition thanks to their hit album, “Tijuana Sound Machine.” Miami’s art deco and 90’s techno sound have nothing on the five-piece Mexican band. Nortec may not be competing against Gloria Estefan for “Best Latin Rock Or Alternative Album,” but they are facing heavyweights, including Ximena Sariñana and Grupo Fantasma.

Romance rumors between Christina Milian and The-Dream have hit las calles…

The duo were spotted getting their fiesta-on at The-Dream’s listening party for his upcoming album, “Love Vs. Money.” Pictures may be worth a thousand words, but don’t get it twisted. Milian has been in a longtime relationship with renown producer, Dre of Cool & Dre, and it is still unknown whether the two even broke-up. Ring the alarm! Daddy Yankee’s “Llamado de Emergencia” is taking over Chile!

The mogul reggaetonero will be traveling to Chile for the annual musical carnival, Festival de Viña del Mar. The five-day concert series has a golden star line-up, which includes performances by Miley Cyrus, Juanes, R.K.M & Ken-Y, Marc Anthony, and Julieta Venegas just to name a few. Daddy Yankee is set to hit el escenario on February 27th. Turns out his concert in La Quinta Vergara has already reached record-selling ticket sales.

Word is that la suegra has been living in Marc and Jenn’s Brookville, Long Island mansion for about a year now, but the kind abuelita may have a new casa to call home. Public records prove that the powerhouse padres recently purchased a Belgian-styled colonial house next door for $2.05 million.

The deed is in Marc Anthony’s name. Perhaps this is what resolved their rumored marital issues. No word yet on whether Lupita is actually moving in, but we think the battle lines have been drawn. Si o no? [News Day]

The “Cuidado con el ángel” co-stars have denied the romance rumors time and time again, but we all know acciones speak louder than false palabras. According to reports, the protagonists were captured having a secret lunch in the cafetería at Televisa San Ángel studios. Once the ‘on-screen’ soul mates noticed the photographers, Maite ran away in a frenzy while William confronted the paps and denied the obvious chisme.

William Levy mentioned:

No, Maite y yo somos muy buenos amigos, estamos comiendo todos pero somos muy buenos amigos.

MTV’s “Making the Band“ is set to return with an all new season February 12th.

Except, there is no band to document anymore.  You may remember when Diddy dismissed Danity Kane members, Aubrey O’Day and D. Woods in October. Well, fans will be surprised to see Shannon Bex isn’t showing up either. Uh oh, we smell trouble in paraíso! Apparently, Puff invited all the girls back for another season but only Drea and Dawn were willing to participate. So what can we expect to see this season then??

Dawn Richard explains:

As of now, Danity Kane doesn’t exist. You’ll see me and Drea [Aundrea Fimbres] try and pick up the pieces on our own [on this season's show] — pieces that we didn’t even make.

“Crush” fans, put your hands up and swoon…

David Archuleta is tantalizing fans with a spring U.S. tour! The 18-year-old will jump-start his show en vivo starting February 24th in Virginia, and will hip-up cities including Texas, New York, New Jersey, and Arizona. Last year’s American Idol champion, David Cook has also announced his tour dates for la primavera. Sounds like los chicos will be competing for ticket sales, but we think Archuleta has the star power to seal a series of sold-out concerts. What do you think?

Why is Luis Fonsi giving his best cheese smile?

The “Aquí Estoy Yo” singer was awarded the “ASCAP Voice of Music Award” yesterday. The ceremony, held for the top artists and composers in la música, will take place at the Ritz Carlton in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 3rd. Victor Manuelle received the honorable win for the “Voice of the Year” award last year.

Luis Fonsi revealed his love for writing romantic ballads during our exclusive interview:

I actually enjoy romantic songs. Ever since I can remember, I gravitate towards the ballads. I feel more comfortable speaking and singing through them. When it comes down to writing a song…it is easy for me to pick up the guitar and sing a ballad.

Belinda is conducting major damage control…

The controversial pop diva is spreading her generous spirit by helping las niñas de la calle. While volunteering for the charity initiative, Belinda donated some of her most valuable bling to las chicas. The “Ángel” singer refused to discuss her pending lawsuit and alleged sex video scandal, but she did pay homage to Shakira.

Belinda states that the Colombiana has inspired her musical taste:

Yo creo que bueno, para hacer mis canciones me inspiro, pues, en mi vida ¿no? Y en lo que yo he vivido y bueno, de ella, pues, la admiro y me encanta escuchar su música.
