Wow. Have not seen one of these in a while...

Looks like nothing of too serious consequence. ASB&R aside for DC and Powers for Marvel most delays/changes are less than a month.

'Remember when' we could all complain and throw tomatoes at the Big Two for their monstrous delays...?

Some of it is worse than it looks, though. That Runaways issue that's only delayed a week was solicited to be released in February.

Yeah, there is always so much that these things dont show but I do find them useful and would like newsarama to put them up more often like they ised to.

Ultimates anyone?! *sigh*

The good ole days of complaining about delays, heh heh.

It's good to see the last 2 issues of the Halo miniseries finally solicited. With all the SI stuff going on, I thought they forgot about it.

Delays in Runaways and All-Star Batman don't really even seem like news.

RASL being delayed is worrisome, but not unexpected.

I'm not truthfully worried about RASL being delayed either. I'm glad as can be it has a semi-regular release schedule.

Has it already been 3 months since the first issue?

And this isn't a book anything like Ultimates. I'm okay with waiting on this book, Invincible, and Madman. Those books make me happy. Ultimates and Red Hulk make me sad.

Wow, 9 months! Maybe the trade will be out in time for Halo 4.

Uh oh, is Granov at it again?

Sorry to disappoint, but the schedule changes have nothing to do with me. Thanks for jumping to conclusions though.

Too be fair Adi was paired with Ellis (who turns in scripts when the mood strikes him) and Johnny Fav who probably was in post production on a summer blockbuster during the writing of Viva Las Vegas...

DBZ being pushed back is weird. i mean, the first volumes(well, every volume) been reprinted a few dozen times already. well... i guess its a new format collection.

oh well, i already have them all.

Regarding "Rasl", yes, I do believe it's been (almost) 3 months. However, the first issue was solicited in DECEMBER and came out in FEBRUARY (the week of 2/27 to be precise). The second issue was solicited in MARCH for a planned May release.
IOW, the second issue was solicited "3 months" after the first issue, so it's not like it's all that late (based on #1's shipping date of the 4th week in February and projecting #2 to be released during the 4th week in May, we're only looking at a total delay of 1 week).

Nothing like some good, old-fashioned shipping changes.

DC Universe Special: Superman/Mongul 05/28/08 - 06/04/08
DC Univ. Spec.: Reign in Hell 80-pg. Giant 06/04/08 - 06/18/08

Aren't these just re-prints?!? What makes them late?

Don't get me started on the late All-Star Bats and Runaways...

I miss this list...not that I like comics being delayed and all but I wish we would get these updates more often.

Reprinting pre-digital material is not always easy. I don't have any inside knowledge of what slowed these up, but since IIRC these are reprinting older comics, it's not any more surprising that these would be delayed than it would be for anything else.

As I posed it in the form of a question, it wasn't a jump to a conclusion so much as peeking over the precipice of one.

So okay, uh, what the ____ is happening with Halo uprising?
Is it the artist, colourist, or Bendis?
Whats going on?

Could be anything. The inclusion of color pages, printing mishaps... I believe they are also re-editing the text. Or maybe they just decided that the later date would be better timing.

I spoke to Alex Maleev at the recent Con in Toronto briefly and he said that the reason
the Halo comic has been so ridiculously delayed is because they were waiting on Bungie's
approval on the books and that they were taking their sweet time doing it. He also went into a bit of his personal opinion on the whole matter, but I think I'll let him tell you rather than speak out of turn. I know Mr. Maleev visits these boards from time to time so be sure to ask him if you get a chance as it was pretty interesting.

So, there ya go. Not Bendis or Maleev's fault and not even the fault of Marvel. Crazy huh?

LOL, what a perfect response.

But yeah, I figure the blame pry goes to Jon not Adi, the learning curve of a first time comics writer combined with his movie work is what I assumed made it late. He pry reread his first issue or 2 and rewrote the ending 2 comics based on what he did wrong. The first issue was a bit stiff, so if thats the case I'm completely cool with a delay.

This is true.

Bungie have their heads up their butts in approving Halo stuff, despite this book being done well in advance for them to look at before the launch of Halo 3. They really do act like their farts don't stink, from what other people have said.
