Summer Festival Flyaway Sweepstakes
Palm Centro at AT&T; and mtvU flew Brett Byers and friend Taylor Burnham to the most mammoth music festivals of the summer - Lollapalooza and All Points West. The duo rocked out to performances by a host of top artists including Radiohead, Girl Talk, and Rage Against the Machine. Post-show they hit the town in style, receiving VIP treatment including access to the Rock the Vote afterparty at Chicago's Hard Rock Hotel and hitting up some of the trendiest LES clubs in NYC.

Girls That Rock 2006
Congratulations to Nicole Groman, the winner of our Girls That Rock Tour contest and mtvU's newest VJ! The Cornell University student will take home a $1,000 Victoria's Secret Pink gift certificate and a brand new pink Hummer SUV, but first we're flying her to New York to host a block of videos on mtvU. 2006 mtvU Student Filmmaker Award
His film "The Beautiful Lie" put Fordham University's Joshua Caldwell in the middle of Tinseltown when he won the very first mtvU Student Filmmaker Awards. He received the award from actor/director Zach Braff onstage at the 2006 MTV Movie Awards and hobnobbed with celebrities on the red carpet and backstage at the lavish affair.

See O.A.R. in N.Y.C. Contest
On Jan 14th, James Shender from Pace University got up close and personal with O.A.R. at Madison Square Garden. Not only did he win won 2 front row tickets but also an autographed CD and poster, plus a meet and greet with the band! The first prize winners won the entire O.A.R. catalog Anthony Malott, U of Dayton Lauren Neiman, Penn State University Melissa Gruber, Life University Melissa Stewart, U of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Nicole Martello, Kent State University.

Tour De Franz Ferdinand Competition
Our lucky winner Diana Olano from Pace University and her friend Nancy Zhinin were transported across the French countryside on the Tour De Franz Ferdinand customized bus, had a once in a lifetime chance to see five live concerts from the indie rockers in Paris, Rouen, Lille and Metz including a private soundcheck as well as a meet and greet with the band.

Maria Gaete from the University of Florida was the winner of the Year in Your Ear Contest. Not only has she won a MP3 player preloaded with every single song mtvU played in 2005 but also gets to program her very own hour on mtvU! First Prize Winner Brian Chase of University of Kentucky-Lexington nabbed the ultimate dorm room, while Second Prize Winner Kara Matacchiera from SUNY Oneonta will be working out with her own personal trainer for a year. Our three Third Prize Winners were University of Louisville's Jessica Ray, who won a year's worth of gas for her car, and University of Arizona's Erin Leach and University of San Francisco's Emily Savard, who both receive style makeovers.
