Don’t Miss ‘The Hills Finale Live From NYC,’ Featuring Me!

The HillsOne of the biggest events of the year is happening next week right here in NYC.

It’s not the Oscars, the Golden Globes or even the presidential inauguration: It is in fact “The Hills Finale Live From NYC,” airing Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT!

It seems that not a lot has changed in season four. Onetime best friends Lauren and Heidi are still not speaking to each other … the lovely Audrina is still as entertaining as ever … and Spencer is still, well …

Next week is the big season finale, and to celebrate we’re throwing a monster “Hills” finale aftershow right here in New York in front of a live studio audience, with the entire “Hills” cast live in the studio and me as your host. The one and only Pussycat Dolls will be performing at the aftershow, which begins at 10:30 right after the season finale.

Now, no names have been confirmed yet, but just imagine: It would be pretty interesting to have Heidi, Spencer and LC on the same couch, sitting next to each other, right? Awkward moments = great TV! Read more…

What Did Audrina Patridge Think Of Funny Or Die’s ‘Hills’ Spoof?

By Shawn Adler
Audrina Patridge
All over MTV today, we’ve been wondering about the end game for “The Hills” with series co-star Audrina Patridge. Will there be a season five? Will there be a “Hills” movie?

We admit, though, that there is one possibility we don’t even dare to consider, because the mere idea is so undeniably awesome: a “Hills” movie starring James Franco and Mila Kunis instead of L.C., Heidi and Audrina.

For the uninitiated, during the writers strike early this year, Franco and Kunis filmed a spoof for FunnyOrDie.com, in which they imagined a world without scripts. They read a transcript from “The Hills,” with Kunis standing in for Patridge and Franco for her sometimes boyfriend Justin Bobby. The spot was hilarious, mostly due to the fact that the pair were mocking the “Hills” duo.

Later, Franco even laughingly told MTV News that he had so much fun filming the takedown that he wants a whole Justin Bobby movie.

Heidi And Spencer Fight World Hunger, Propose Truce With Lauren

From “The Hills” to Taco Bell — kinda odd, right?

Well, apparently red-carpet faves Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt from the hit MTV show didn’t get the memo. So when the duo turned up this morning at what we’re sure will be the new hot spot in L.A. — the Taco Bell at Venice and La Brea — to once again team up with the restaurant chain to raise awareness for world hunger, it was a shock to some patrons who were in a hurry to get their quesadillas.

See what Heidi has to say about Lauren, after the jump!

Lauren Conrad To Write Book Series About Reality-TV Star (Fiction, Of Course)

Hey, struggling writers, did you hear? Lauren Conrad, star of “The Hills,” got a book deal! You know, the girl who already has a hit TV series and a clothing line? Wait, it gets better. Her contract is for three books!

At the very least, she’s following the cardinal rule of writing: Write what you know. The young adult series “L.A. Candy” tells “the behind-the-scenes story of a young girl who moves to L.A. and unexpectedly becomes the star of a reality-television show,” according to a press release publisher HarperCollins sent to Usmagazine.com. The main character soon realizes that “everyone wants something from her, and nothing is what it appears to be.”

“I’ve always loved books that I could lose myself in, ones that would transport me to another place but had characters I could relate to,” LC said in a statement. “I’m so excited to have this opportunity to write books like that for other readers.”

Are You As Impressed With Heidi Montag’s New Single As Spencer Is?

By Megan Warner

Heidi Montag sings in French?!

Heidi Montag

UsMagazine.com posted an exclusive first listen to the “Hills” star’s newest single, “Fashion.” The track is wildly applauded — surprise, surprise — by Montag’s fiance, manager and “Hills” co-star Spencer Pratt.

“It’s the greatest song of my life,” Pratt told Us on Friday.

Of your life? But what about her single “Body Language,” based on Yaz’s 1982 single “Situation”?

True, “Fashion” covers new ground, with Heidi’s French skills — and a whole lot of fashion brands — in the lyrics. Prada, Heidiwood, you know …

What do you think about the track? Tell us!

Lauren, Audrina & Whitney Hit the ‘Hills’ Finale Party — Heidi & Spencer Are No-Shows
thehillsfinale

This in from MTV News cameraman and producer Todd Brown, who spent last night at the party for finale of the third season of “The Hills”:

The party was held at a multi-million dollar mansion high up in Beverly Hills, far above Los Angeles. In order to get to the top of the hill, we had to load in to vans and drive up a steep and windy mountain road. Most of the “Hills” cast were there — as well as Usher, The All-American Rejects, Tyga, Jessie McCartney, and Schwayze, to name a few. Surprisingly, and probably because of some underplayed and hardly-ever-mentioned beef with Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt did not show.

In addition to the stars, there were hundreds of cocktail dress-wearing young fans, there for the chance to see their favorite semi-reality stars up close. After walking the red carpet, the “Hills” cast mingled with the fans and took pictures — and then they all watched the show together on a huge, 30-foot outdoor screen.

The entire event was shot with more than 7 different camera crews, including the Goodyear blimp(!), and aired live on MTV and MTV.com.

Heidi Montag Nixes “Hills” Flick, Wants To Be Angelina Jolie
heidispencerkiss

I need to make a disclaimer: I do not watch “The Hills.” I don’t know a darn thing about any beef between the main characters. I do, however, know that it is the #1 show on the network which provides me with a means to eat. So when I was asked to cover the debut of Heidi Montag’s fashion line Heidiwood, I was less than thrilled — but happy to be getting paid!

At the Hollywood and Highland complex, 8pm on the dot, the fashion show’s MC Perez Hilton (seriously) welcomed the crowd and kicked off the show. The clothes? Basic pieces but pretty cool for Heidi’s first time out. She later told me that she’s always loved fashion and has been trained at various schools all over the world. (Yeah, we’ll Google that later too.) As the show came to a close, Heidi hit the stage wearing some of her designs. A few moments later her “ex-fiance” Spencer hit the stage, and the crowd went junior-high-school wild. There were flowers and a smooch (and rainbows and kittens and stickers). I’m sure we’ll find out more about what’s really going on with those two as this season of “The Hills” progresses. If you watch. Unlike me.

When I talked to Heidi backstage about Spencer, she said that he’s a great friend, and that she “loves” him — but, you know, with that I-love-him-like-a-friend kind of vibe. So we’ll just have to wait to see what the future holds. Or something…?

I asked her about a possible “Hills” movie. She was extremely turned off by the notion and clearly has No Love for Lauren Conrad. (I asked her if the beef was real, and she looked me dead in the eye and said, “YES.”) But girl has big-screen dreams of her own: she said she would love to be like Angelina Jolie and be able to play the “bad ass.”

But here’s the craziest revelation of the evening, from where I stand: I met Heidi…and I kind of liked her. [Ed: What were they serving at that show? Kool-Aid??] I mean, can all the gossip blogs be wrong? Is it wrong to be on Team Heidi?

McCain Has “The Hills,” Obama Has “Idol”
ObamaIdol

Democratic candidate Barack Obama will make an appearance on tonight’s “Idol Gives Back” telecast, and both Hilary Clinton and Republican John McCain are expected to join him.

They’re not going to be covering the Beatles or whatever — rather, according to CNN, they’ll be appearing in pre-taped pieces set to air throughout “Idol”’s second-annual charity show.

And while McCain has bizarrely become linked with another uber-popular TV show, “The Hills,” Obama is now claiming that “Idol” is the winner in his household, saying that his daughters Sasha and Malia are both “big ‘American Idol’ fans.”

Last year “Idol Gives Back” raised more than $76 million for charities in Africa and here in the U.S.

And if you missed last night’s “Idol, check out Jim Cantiello’s recap.

John McCain Responds To Heidi Montag’s Endorsement
heidimccain

Hi, Heidi!

We sort of work at the same company. Sort of. So we thought it was cool that you told Us Magazine that you were supporting John McCain for President, lest everyone think that MTV was filled with left-leaning Communists.

So anyway…it turns out John McCain loves you right back!

Our second-favorite redhead reporter in the world, Ana Marie Cox, is reporting that it’s right back atcha, blondie!

He told Cox’s blog, Swampland, that, “I’m honored to have Heidi’s support and I want to assure her that I never miss an episode of ‘The Hills,’ especially since the new season started.”

Clearly, McCain’s saucy daughter Meghan McCain (whom we love, btw), put him up to this.

Wonder if this will get him in trouble with Alan Keyes.
