Sometimes a quote is so perfectly wonderful that we’d just rather just skip the intro, throw it at you and let you draw your own conclusions. And in that spirit, we humbly present Diddy’s “mind-imploding” analogy (in the words of our Best Week Ever cohorts) regarding his recent CSI: Miami cameo.

“The CSI: Miami team is like the Yankees. Me coming on the set, I’m like a Little League player with the Yankees. [David Caruso], he’s like Obi-Wan Kenobi or something! He taught me so much and let me ask questions and protected me. He’s like the coach of the team.”

In other words … filming a crappy crime show/blatant Law & Order ripoff is tantamount to playing major league ball for the highest-paid/worst-performing team in the American League — and getting coached by fictional sci-fi character??

According to our friends over at MTV News, Danity Kane dropout (or should we say forceout?) Aubrey O’Day came in at #7 on the countdown to 2008’s Woman of the Year. Granted, the title’s sort of ambiguous (according to the Newsies, it has to do with some combo of recognizability, tabloid coverage and overall newsworthiness) but we were still rather surprised to see our girl Aubs squeezed in between Rihanna (#8) and Beyonce’s ring-flaunting alterego, Sasha Fierce (#6).

We’ve all seen 30 Rock parade out the guest stars this season in the (apparently misguided) hopes of boosting ratings. And while Oprah and Jennifer Aniston’s cameos failed to attract viewers to the too-smart-to-be-popular NBC sitcom, there’s one more celeb who’s ready to pick up where they left off: Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“I’m definitely trying to holler at Tina Fey,” Diddy tells E! Online. “Me and Tracy [Morgan], we’ve been talking, and we got a scheme up our sleeves. I’m definitely trying to get in on that in the next two years, for real.”

+ Think Diddy’s got what it takes to save 30 Rock from dying a slow, Studio 60 death? We sure hope so! Otherwise it’s only a matter of time before Tina Fey’s laugh-out-loud comedy gets yanked off the air — and replaced with (yet) another tired Friends ripoff.

A few weeks back, Aubrey O’Day spoke out in defense of gay marriage — and introduced the press to her “girlfriend.” Not long after, she was overheard gushing over her newfound ladylove. And now, what at first appeared to be nothing more than a publicity stunt may actually be the ex-Danity Kane singer’s way of setting the record straight (or so to speak) about her sexual orientation.

You clapped your hands during Ray, shed a tear or two during Walk the Line and are already counting down the days until Notorious. But actor Derek Luke, who plays Sean “Diddy” Combs in the upcoming flick about the life — and death — of rapper Notorious B.I.G., says it’s time for another big-screen adaptation. One that’s more (how should we put this?) Diddy-centric.

“I was saying I would love to play Puff from scratch. I would love to play him from start to finish,” Luke told our colleagues at MTV Movies. “I had to be a part of [Notorious],” he says. “But I do think Puff needs his own joint…It would be a totally different energy if I played a full-length Sean Combs picture.”

Natch, we wanna hear what you think: Does Puff deserve the next big hip hop biopic? Or would you rather see something about, say, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige or Run DMC?
