Short Forecast for all New Zealand


Short forecast for all of New Zealand to Midnight on Saturday 13th December.

Northland to the Kapiti Coast, also Bay of Plenty and the Central Plateau: Showers clearing most places this evening. Generally fine tomorrow, but isolated showers lingering in Coromandel and cloudy periods in Northland.

Gisborne to Wairarapa, also Wellington: A few showers this evening, some thundery with hail inland. A few showers lingering in Gisborne and Hawkes Bay tomorrow, but clearing further south.

Buller, Westland and Fiordland: Fine weather.

Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury Showers clearing this evening or overnight. Becoming fine tomorrow, apart from a few showers lingering in Northwest Nelson, and cloudy areas about the coast.

Otago and Southland: Fine weather.

The Chatham Islands: Patchy rain or drizzle.


Extended Short Forecast for all New Zealand


Extended Short forecast for all of New Zealand to Midnight on Monday 15th December.

Sunday: North Island, long fine spells, with remaining showers in the east clearing early. South Island, mainly fine, but cloudy periods increasing in the west, with late rain south of the Glaciers.

Monday: North Island, cloud increasing and rain spreading to all but the east. South Island, becoming cloudy and rain spreading to most places.

Tuesday: North Island, rain spreading to most places, then easing to showers in the north and west, and clearing in the east. South Island, unsettled with rain or showers in most places.

Chatham Islands: Fine and cloudy periods Sunday and Monday. Cloud increasing on Tuesday, with some late rain or drizzle. Southeast winds gradually tending northeast on Monday and Tuesday.
