A Legacy of Success ...

From Ralph Ellison, author of the literary classic "The Invisible Man," to Gen. Daniel "Chappie" James, the nation's first African-American four-star general to radio personality and philanthropist Tom Joyner to Roosevelt Williams, a cornerback for the Chicago Bears NFL team, Tuskegee alumni continue to leave their imprint upon the nation and the world.

The famed Tuskegee Airmen, Grammy Award winner Lionel Richie, and Robert Benham, the first Black Georgia Supreme Court judge are but a few who have contributed to Tuskegee's legacy of success.

In courtrooms and classrooms, hospitals and laboratories, boardrooms and screening rooms, government agencies and major industry, Tuskegee alumni have attained enviable levels of individual and collective success.

Today's Alumni ...

More than 3,000 Tuskegee students - studying areas in the University throughout the five colleges - are active in some 20 academic honor societies representing 56 disciplines.

Tuskegee is the nation's No. 1 producer of Black aerospace science engineers. It is a leading producer of Black graduates in engineering, math, and science. It has graduated nearly 75 percent of the nation's Black veterinarians. The University is playing a major leadership role in engaging minorities in bioethics, materials science engineering and integrative bio-sciences, and it is encouraging African-Americans and women to take up their pilot wings and fly.

Tradition of Excellence ...

Tuskegee students aren't guaranteed success after graduation. However, they are guaranteed an environment that makes success highly probable with dedication to the Tuskegee Tradition of Excellence.

Tuskegee doesn't just pave the way toward personal success. It propels its students toward their destiny of making an impact on the world.

Tuskegee doesn't just prepare students for graduation. The University produces well-rounded, public-spirited graduates who not only contribute to the world as mentors and leaders, but who are also active, lifetime learners and contribute to the well-being in the communities in which they reside.

38,000 Alumni and growing ...

Obtaining a degree from Tuskegee University is more than a status our students hope to achieve. Tuskegee has graduated nearly 38,000 alumni - a significant source of job leads, employment opportunities, marketplace information, tips on corporate survival skills and support for the University's programs and vast initiatives.

More than just a strategic network orchestrated through the Tuskegee National Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Affairs, alumni are the heart and soul of the Tuskegee Family.
