The insanity may be weeks old here in the United States, but overseas “Twilight” movie mania is a little more recent. Over in London, our MTV Europe colleagues caught up with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to discuss the film, and we’ve got their resulting conversation below.
You Twilighters will probably enjoy the pair’s description of their infamous non-kissing make-out scene, complete with Pattinson’s trademark blush. Check it out…

Sure, we’ve devoted ample time to “Little Ashes” and “How to Be,” two long-ago-wrapped indie films that should hit theaters in 2009, marking Robert Pattinson’s first appearances after his “Twilight” breakthrough. But now all eyes are on “Parts Per Billion,” the first film that the 22-year-old leading man will shoot as a certified star.
“It’s an ensemble story,” explained Rosario Dawson, who will also appear in the film alongside Olivia Thirlby and Dennis Hopper when it begins shooting next month. “[The script features several] different storylines that are going on.”
Directed by newcomer Brian Horiuchi, “Billion” tells the story of three couples (including Pattinson and Thirlby) dealing with the same reality-shaking event that threatens to tear them apart. Pattinson will shoot “Billion” before he reports for duty on the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon,” and the film is expected to be released in late 2009/early 2010. Read more…

We’ve been bringing you photos from the many “Twilight” premieres around the world, most recently in Paris and Munich. Now, it could be my imagination running wild, but ever since this weekend’s news that Catherine Hardwicke won’t be directing “New Moon,” the body language on the red carpet has become a little awkward.
While in Rome and Madrid, the cast were very close with their director, arms around shoulders and big smiles. And then there was last night’s premiere in Paris (click on the photo below to see more from the Paris red carpet):
Am I reading too much into it, or does the space seem to be growing between the “Twilight” stars and Catherine Hardwicke? Sound off below.

It looks like “New Moon” will indeed live up to its title, bringing in some fresh blood behind the camera. Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood earlier today reported and all parties have now confirmed that Catherine Hardwicke will NOT be returning as the director of the next big screen installment in the “Twilight” saga.
“I am sorry that due to timing I will not have the opportunity to direct NEW MOON,” said Hardwicke. “Directing ‘Twilight’ has been one of the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film. I wish everyone at Summit the best with the sequel– it is a great story.” Read more…

FROM MTV.COM: At a recent “TwilightLive” event, MTV’s resident “Twilight” authority Larry Carroll was asked by a fan if there would be graphic novels based on the vampire love story anytime soon.
Given the fact that we’ve seen comics and graphic novels based on everything from Barack Obama to “The Ghost Whisperer,” it’s not only a valid question, but one that seems like the next obvious step in “Twilight” mania. After all, a marriage of Stephenie Meyer’s wildly popular series and comic books — arguably one of the hottest storytelling mediums going today — seems like a match made in vampire heaven, right?

Back in October, we brought you some of the first photos of “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson playing Salvadore Dali in the upcoming film, “Little Ashes.” Now we have the first trailer of the flick courtesy of Yahoo. “Little Ashes” — which hits theaters March 27, 2009 — follows Dali and famous poet Federico García Lorca as they “find their artistic and sexual freedom in each other.” Tell us what you think of the trailer in the comments below!

American Twilighters screamed their hearts out at last month’s star-studded Los Angeles premiere of “Twilight,” and now that honor falls to fans on the other side of the pond. “Twilight” held its London premiere last night and the cast was out in force, as Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & crew marched down the red carpet.

Starring in the #1 movie in America has its advantages. Just a day after an incredible $70.55M opening weekend, “Twilight” leads Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are looking to bring home nearly $12 million dollars each for “New Moon,” the newly-announced sequel in the mega-franchise. This according to the Chicago Sun-Times, which notes the pair — until now hardly household names — took home paychecks of “just” $2 million for “Twilight.”
As fans can attest, Hollywood’s take on the second novel will be a decidedly larger affair than “Twilight,” with the addition of werewolves and journeys to Alaska and Italy. Pattinson himself told MTV News that “New Moon” ranks as his favorite of the four-book series. Check out his thoughts on the sequel towards the end of the video below, and then click here to read what the entire cast is looking forward to from “New Moon.”
But the most important news of the weekend was what you thought of the movie. And what Edward and Bella thought of that.
As Twilighters posted their comments all over the MTV websites and uploaded video to YouRHere (make sure to send yours!), a general consensus emerged: some loved the film, some hated it, and far many more found themselves with mixed emotions and hopes for better, bigger-budgeted sequels. Read more…

Get used to ‘Twilight’ fever because if Summit Entertainment fulfills its promise a “New Moon” will dawn before too long. Yes, the numbers are continuing to pour in for this unprecedented opening weekend courtesy of “Twilight.”
First the news that will make all Twilighters smile today: a sequel has officially been greenlit. The announcement came straight from Stephenie Meyer herself who told fans in a message, “I don’t think any other author has had a more positive experience with the makers of her movie adaptation than I have had with Summit Entertainment. I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with them again on ‘New Moon.’”
Of course the fact that a sequel has been greenlit barely 24 hours after the first film has been released is because of one bottom line reason: money. And “Twilight” has been raking in a lot of it. Read more…
