In 1980 Allfather Leon planned "The Great Allnighter" by picking college students to participate in his night long scavenger hunt. The five teams, each designated by colors white, green, red, yellow, and blue are given clues to solve, leading them to the next clue site hidden in the city. The tradition endures on, slightly modified with the addition of "challenges" to be completed between clues and a scavenger hunt aspect that has no rival. For a complete explanation of how the game is played, please read the blog above.
Thanks again, Game Control, for another kick ass MMB!!! Brown Team had a wonderful time shitting out our candy and prune concoction today =) Thanks for that too! We agreed this was one of the best MMB's we've competed in and can't wait until numeral ocho!!! Thanks to Rick for the gift card donation too! And all the teams for such an awesome competition!!! See ya'll in three months!!!! *dail* Captain Brown
Even though we made one fatal error towards the end of the game, Team Red, The Red Scare had more fun last night than probably any other MMB. It was one of the best rounds yet, if not the best and the fact that almost every team was a contender for the whole game really shows what a great game it was. Thanks to Game Control for pulling off another amazing round. I can't wait until the next round in January. Congrats again to Team Brown and to everyone for coming out and giving it their all.
OK... this totally sucks. Like really sucks. Like I'm gonna cry about it sucks. But due to unforeseen (well, some were foreseen, but I tried to pull it together anyway)circumstances, I have no green team with which to compete. I'm going to go curl up and mourn for a little while now.
Green Team is IN. Prepare to lose suckers. I may be drunk right now... but I'll be driving next Saturday night. Be afraid. Be very afraid. We aren't. We aren't even afraid to jumps medians. Or trains for that matter. Yeah. Been there. Done that. We have two spaces open. Who wants to WIN fuckers?
i am trying to promote the hell out of MMB...so far i've received like 20 messages asking about the games...let's hope it works and we have a shitload of teams in october!
dammit.. dammit... dammit... hated having to miss a game. congrats to Dail and the Brown Team. you guys have always busted your asses in past games. good to see you win one. be ready to defend your crown with the utmost vigilance though. you'll be feeling some Hamster Love come game 7.
I thought it was awesome! We're proud to hold the silver shitty shoe, too.
The clues seemed much more difficult than previosuly, but maybe that's just like the difference between getting every wuestion of a game show right at home and then failing miserably when you actually get on.
Still, tons of fun. And I know my team feels the same. Blue team's definitely looking forward to seeing everyone again in three months. :D
Grats to Brown Team for finally bringing their A-Game! Also, grats to the rest of you for sticking in there even though many of you were tired and beat... If you haven't already, PLEASE leave a message/comment of any praises or suggestions for the game so we can continue or improve the quality of the game.
Yellow team is out this time, John and I are going to Georgia that weekend because my brother is coming home from Iraq, and the other team mates would rather wait for the next game instead of enlisting new people. Have fun everyone! Stay Safe. -Liz A. Yellow team Captain.
Famous Faces & Funnies would like to throw another $100 Gift Certificate into the prize pool for the winners of MMB 6. Good luck on what's sure to be another fun game.
Meat Machine out. Amy and I will be in Tennessee for a family reunion. Don't know if Mandy and Megan can field a full team and a vehicle without us. But if they can, i'm sure they'll win.
changes come and i'm now taking applications for a female to join the greatest spectacle MMB has ever seen. must crave victory and have an IQ of at least 50 and the ability to leave her drugs at home. knowing at least 3 math joke which are actually funny is a plus. appreciation for films that get released straight to DVD from Cannes is another plus. be our BFF.
We've definitely got the next two slated, so like you said, it'll either be a very late 8, or on-time 9. Can't wait to see what you kids can come up with. I'm gonna start looking for some roller derby gear while I wait!
I'd like to add that Amy and I plan to take on Team Plaid's challenge, and we will be planning MMB for February 2009. Whether that's #8 really late, or #9 right on time depends on how many Plaid does. That's the earliest we can commit, but we will begin working now. Don't get too excited, cause you all know Plaid will win.
First I would like to say thank you to all the teams that came out to play and keep MMB alive. Second I would like to thank the plaid team and Matt for making sure there was a game for teams to sign up for and play. I must say it was great to see all the new and fresh ideas they brought to the table. I am glad that I made the 14 hour drive to come and participate, the homecoming that you all gave me was incredible. I am not sure if I will make it down for the next one, hell I may even move back to Florida before then, but if I am there I can grantee one thing. THE ORIGINAL MMB ALL FATHER WILL BE ON SOMEONES TEAM. That’s right everyone. The next game that I make it down there for, I will play along on a team.
