Welcome to the Cuisine web site, launched in December 2000 to provide you with an every day celebration of all that is best about food and wine in New Zealand.
The Cuisine site is one of the most comprehensive food, wine and associated good living online resources in New Zealand. Cuisine brings you a huge archive of Cuisine recipes from our award-winning writers, meal-maker functions, wine tastings from our wine editor, travel tips, cook’s toys and tools, books and lots more to come as we find out what you’d like to see, explore or use.
Those wishing to register with Cuisine receive a weekly email newsletter with colourful graphics to keep regular visitors up to date with the latest events on site.
Online surveys where visitors can vote on such topics as screw caps or corks, smoking or non-smoking in bars have generated a great deal of interest.
These initiatives certainly seem to have hit a cord with you. We have been overwhelmed by the support, especially the numerous emails telling us how much people like the site. It seems our peers also agree, in 2001 we were voted Web Site of the Year by the MPA and Best New Site of the Year at the Netguide Awards. Cuisine was voted Best Website of the Year at the 2002 awards.
Which gives our team a huge incentive to continue to strive to provide the best that we can. Our aim is to help and at Cuisine the door’s always open. I hope you’ll visit us often.
