Harry Redknapp takes his reinvigorated Tottenham side to fellow midweek Uefa Cup winners Manchester City looking to make strides up the table.
Tottenham are unbeaten under Harry. Home wins over Bolton and Liverpool and a 4-4 draw, away to North London rivals Arsenal, have failed to lift Spurs off the foot.
City have suffered successive 0-2 defeats and are in danger of tumbling to their longest losing run since ending last season with three consecutive defeats.
A home defeat would also mean Manchester City had reached an unwanted milestone. It would be their 1,500th loss in League football.
Manchester City's 2-1 win in this corresponding fixture in March halted Tottenham's run of eight league and cup victories over them.
Distance between the clubs: 202 miles (325 kilometres)
(all statistics are ahead of this weekend's round of Premier League fixtures)
1. Picked up seven points out of nine after a winless first eight.
2. Aiming for their first back-to-back victories in 29 Premier League matches, since beating Fulham and Reading on 26 and 29 December 2007 respectively - both at home.
3. Gained two more points than were accrued at this same stage last season.
4. Picked up two points out of a last 15 away from home, and failed to keep a clean sheet on the road this season.
5. Failed to score in one of the last 11 away league outings.
6. Won their last two league games against North-West clubs; Liverpool and Bolton in the last two home games.
7. Not won in eight league trips to the North-West since beating Everton 1-2 at Goodison Park on 21 February 2007.

HEAD TO HEAD
The victory over Spurs at Eastlands in March was the first time Manchester City had prevailed against the North London club since their astounding 3-4 victory in the FA Cup fourth round replay at White Hart Lane on 4 February 2004, when they famously fought back from 3-0 down.
Manchester City's only victories in 22 Premier League games against Tottenham were 5-2 on 22 October 1994 at home, 0-2 at the Lane on 18 April 2003 and the 2-1 home triumph eight months ago.
Tottenham dismissed the Citizens on their way to winning the Carling Cup last season; a 0-2 victory at Eastlands in the quarter-finals on 18 December 2007.
