Destiny vs Determination!

Destiny vs. Determination!
Few people will succeed in life because they are destined to. If you are lucky enough to be one of the destined few, congratulations! I would never fault anyone for being lucky enough to be born into success. The trick for the destined is to maintain the success and pass it on to future generations. As for the rest of us, those that will only reach our chosen levels of success through pure raw determination, keep the following thought from Paul Harvey in mind.
I wish you tough times and disappointment, hard work and
happiness. To me, it’s the only way to really appreciate life.
Maybe, just maybe, the times that we are now facing are a blessing in disguise. Maybe things have been a little bit too easy for the last ten to twelve years. Possibly we have gotten a bit lazy during these times of easy success. Could it be we have taken our customers a little for granted and haven’t given the little something extra the makes a customer a friend? Have we neglected our ability to build on our individual strengths and challenge our own weaknesses? Maybe we haven’t had to gather knowledge from outside our realm of influence, beat the bushes for leads and prospects or ask customers for referrals. Have we taken responsibility for every customer that made contact with us or have we become spoiled by our own prosperity? Maybe this little bump in the road is the best thing that could have possibly happened to us.
To me, the only way to really appreciate life and success is to have experienced both sides of the track. Life is grand; even in failure you can, and should appreciate the experience, and turn it into another opportunity.
