Six million Ethiopians need emergency aid

British charity Oxfam says the number of Ethiopians in urgent need of food aid has risen to 6.4 million, nearly two million more than in June. Ethiopia, Africa's second most populous country, has been badly affected by droughts, civil war and soaring food prices.Oxfam and other relief groups warn that at least 460 million dollars are urgently needed to stave off a famine similar to one that killed millions of people during the 1980s.
