Children’s Book Illustrator Dirk Zimmer Dies at 64

Dirk Zimmer, who illustrated some 40 children’s books between 1978 and 2008, died on September 26 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, after being struck by a car five days earlier. He was 64. More

Zarrow Award for Young Readers' Literature at Tulsa City-County Central Library (OK). Students Reggie Mayes and Charles Burts had the honor of presenting Sachar with the award in front of more than 500 fans.
