Total Solar Eclipse 2008:Live from China

On August 1, 2008, a total solar eclipse occurred when the new moon moved directly between the sun and the earth. An Exploratorium team was waiting in the path of the eclipse as it passed over the remote Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwestern China.
