Smart Irrigation Controller Rebates - $750 per irrigated landscape
Smart Controllers for irrigation work on a these simple principles: provide the appropriate watering schedule; adjust for weather changes, and; irrigate based on the needs of your landscape. With Smart Controllers installed on your non-residential landscaped property, you will be able to avoid over watering and excessive run-off by scheduling the amount of irrigation applied based on plants' needs and current weather conditions.

This program, part of Save Water - Save A Buck, provides IRWD customers with a rebate to offset the purchase of a new smart irrigation system controller. Rebate amounts are currently $750 per irrigated acre. In order to participate, irrigation account holders must possess a fully operational automatic irrigation system on a minimum of 1200 square feet of irrigated landscape. The existing controller should not exceed a maximum of 48 valves. (Note: Eligible Smart irrigation controllers can be installed in new construction, pending IRWD approval on a case-by-case basis.)

Rotating Nozzles Rebates - $4 per rotating nozzle
The multi-trajectory, rotating streams of the Rotating Nozzles apply water much more slowly and uniformly than conventional spray nozzles and rotors--especially after arc and radius adjustment--allowing the water to soak into the ground instead of running off. Independent water audits now document water savings of 20% or more when conventional sprays are replaced with Rotating Nozzles. Additional water-saving advantages include better wind resistance and less misting.

Only rotating nozzles purchased on or after July 10, 2007 will be considered for a rebate. To qualify for rebate, all spray heads on each selected valve/station/zone must be replaced with rotating nozzles and the irrigation clock must be adjusted. There is a 25 unit minimum purchase requirement, with no maximum purchase limit.
