Bazix

 ANNOUNCEMENT

In the four years that Bazix has represented MSX Association outside Japan, it has not been able to achieve its goals of bringing about the commercial MSX Revival beyond the Japanese borders. What is more, in light of recent developments such as the transfer of the MSX trademark from MSX Association to MSX Licensing Corporation and no outlook on any progress in the Western One Chip MSX project any time soon, effective immediately, Bazix is no longer a representative of MSX Association.

For WOOMB.net, since it is a combined effort of Bazix, D4 Enterprise and MSX Association, this means that the retro gaming service will be taken offline until a solution free of MSX Association's contributions has been completed. Whether WOOMB.net will re-launch as a stand-alone service or as part of D4 Enterprise's Project EGG is yet unclear. Customers who have bought software at WOOMB.net are still able to download and play their purchases.

Despite the considerable amount of interest from the MSX, retro gaming and FPGA communities we also regret to announce that, as a result of these circumstances, we will not be able to bring the One Chip MSX to the Western Market following the end of our partnership with MSX Association.

In the future, however, Bazix will be cooperating with D4 Enterprise and MSX Licensing Corporation in one or more retro gaming related projects. We expect to disclose more information this fall.
