Jamie Lynn Spears and babydaddy Casey Aldridge spent Mother's Day at a local church service in Gloster, Mississippi, on Sunday.
Jamie's momma, Lynne Spears, is still in California.
After spending about an hour inside the church, the family left and went for lunch.
How did U spend your mother's day?
We went to the Polo Lounge with mom and it was lovely, but also sad.
There were SO many old people there! In their 60s and 70s.
Old people make us sad.
Thankfully, Mom enjoyed her present: a lovely necklace from Tiffany's.

They have the satisfaction of having figured out what the game of life is all about and how to play it. They still have interests and loves, and pursue them as health allows. It is not easy to approach the end of your life and know you have to give it up, but you do get pleasure from the love of your family, from your successes, and from learning to handle heartache. Remember that inside each old person is still the 20-year-old, but with kick-ass maturity and knowledge.

Why is being old sad? Getting pregnant at 16 is sad. Getting old is what happens to all of us - if we're lucky. My Dad is 72, healthy and having the time of his life. He says that inside he feels 25, but the body is not quite so cooperative. It's time our youth-obsessed culture started regarding old people more positively and in possession of that gem called life experience from which we could all learn a lot if we took the time to listen. My Dad actually expresses concern for the pressures on the young people of today, and says it was easier when he was young. He says he wouldn't want to be young today. So who's feeling sorry for whom????

My mom is in her 60's and I had a great day with her today. I have many friends who have lost their mom's over the last couple of years and being able to spend the day with my mom is a gift I fully recognize. My heart goes out to my friends whos mom's died much to early - like in their 60's.

well, my mom would have enjoyed tiffany's as well…
instead i got into a car accident and gave my mom the passenger side mirror as her present. The bitch that hit me tried to pull the my kids are waiting for me at home card instead of giving me her insurance information… because she "couldnt find it".
