A deep low is generating strong, cold, showery winds in SA, TAS, VIC and southern and central NSW. It's cold enough for snow to low levels in TAS and on the alps in VIC and NSW. A trough is causing patchy rain in QLD. A high is keeping inland SA, the NT and west coast of WA dry.

National Forecast

A developing trough will combine with moist southeasterly winds causing rain to increase rain northern and central QLD. A high will cause wind to ease and most showers to clear in NSW, VIC and SA. Southwesterly winds will maintain showers in TAS as a high keeps WA dry.
