The SQL Server script repository

How come I've missed this? I don't know, but I'm writing this blog post so to bookmark this site.

You'll find a handful of scripts, mainly using Dynamic Management Views and Functions, to monitor various aspects of SQL Server.

Hi Tibor,

We have links to the Script Center on the TechNet and MSDN

SQL Server home pages in the navigation bar under the Home tab.

Do you think there's a better place we could highlight it?

Hi Chris,

Oh, yes, I see that clearly now. I think that these types of options gets lost in the general noise. For instance, the SQL Server TechCenter, if I start from the top, I count to 5 level of menues/choices:

Welcome XXX

Home | Library ...

Versions | Best Practices ...

Printer Friendly Version ...

TechNet | TechCenter ...

I wish I had some smart alternative for presenting lots of information, but I don't. I guess this is an example of when you're using a site and are in problem solving mode, you tend not to look at all menu options... :-)

you're not the only one that doesn't find the obvious in technet/msdn.

Most of my conversion time has been spend in finding my way in as well technet as msdn.

kind of unable to spot the trees in the would or the other way around ;)

ALZDBA - What do you consider obvious on TechNet/MSDN and how do you think we could present it better?

We wrestle with trying to present and organize a lot of information and while we'll never be able to satisfy everyone, I alwas like to hear what it is that our customers think we should be doing instead of what we ware doing.
