Utah Valley is a wonderful location for those who like to play in the great outdoors. BYU is a short distance away from world-class skiing and 2002 Winter Olympic venues. College Sports
BYU is home to some of the most exciting collegiate sports in the country. The Cougars have won National Championships in football, Men's volleyball, Women's cross-country, Men's golf, and Men's track and field, along with numerous conference championships. Along with 19 varsity teams, BYU also has several club teams. So whether you're a fan of football, basketball, lacrosse, rugby, or hockey, you'll find great, competitive games to watch.
Professional Sports
Utah is also home to several professional teams, most notably the Utah Jazz of the NBA. Utah is also home to Major League Soccer with Real Salt Lake.

Cultural Activities
A wealth of cultural events take place weekly in the BYU Harris Fine Arts Center (HFAC). From operas to plays, choral groups to instrumental groups, and dance performances to student recitals, BYU employees and family members have direct access to local and BYU performing groups. If art museums are what interest you, the BYU Museum of Art and Springfield Art Museum provide wonderful art masterpieces.
