WHAT IF…SPIDEY?
Peter Parker’s life has really changed in the past week, after the events of “One More Day.” For some classic alternate takes on the Web-head, in anticipation of “Brand New Day,” check out some What If…? issues like #19 (“What If Spider-Man Had Stopped the Burglar Who Killed His Uncle?”), #24 (“What If Gwen Stacy Had Lived?”) and Vol. 2 issues #4 (“What If the Alien Costume Had Possessed Spider-Man?”), #20 (“What If Spider-Man Had Not Married Mary Jane Watson?”) and #21 (“What If Spider-Man Married the Black Cat?”).
INDIANA JONES
With a comeback imminent for 2008, now is the time to check out some rare back issues of everyone’s favorite adventure-seeking archeologist. Dark Horse minis, like Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix, Indiana Jones and the Arms of Gold, Indiana Jones: Thunder in the Orient and Indiana Jones and the Golden Fleece, are especially hot. The four-issue Iron Phoenix goes for upwards of $90 a set and the four-issue Arms of Gold for $80. The six-issue Thunder in the Orient and two-issue Golden Fleece are less expensive at $40 and $60 respectively. Also, Indy fans might want to check out the final three issues of Marvel’s Further Adventures of Indiana Jones, illustrated by the legendary Steve Ditko.
A REAL ANGEL WEDDING SPECIAL
Serious Angel fans have a new rare issue of Angel: After the Fall #1 to look out for. In celebration of writer Bryan Lynch’s wedding, IDW issued 200 special sketch variants featuring a brand-new cover by Franco Urru, featuring Lynch, his new wife and a cavalcade of Angel characters.

GREEN LANTERN
“Sinestro Corps War” turned Green Lantern into one of the best-selling DC titles on comic store shelves, so what’s going to happen to the book now that the crossover has finished?
[There was] no sellout [for issue #26], but still much higher numbers than pre-‘Sinestro Corps War,’” says Chris Canibano of Callope’s Realm Comics in Naperville, Ill. “The book is up about 25 percent over pre-‘Sinestro Corp War’ levels and the last page of #25 has gotten a lot of customers talking about what exactly ‘Final Night’ [the next big GL event] will be.”

Buffy the Vampire Slayer #10 (Dark Horse, $2.99): Buffy creator Joss Whedon makes his return to writing duties on “Season 8.” His initial involvement sent this book skyrocketing, so make sure to check it out this time around.
Ultimate Human #1 (of 4) (Marvel, $2.99): Warren Ellis and Cary Nord deliver a new Ultimate miniseries starring Iron Man and the Hulk. Ellis previously delivered the fan-favorite Ultimate Nightmare/Secret/Extinction trilogy, so you know it’ll be good!
Wildstorm Revelations #1 (of 6) (DC/Wildstorm, $2.99):
Secrets are revealed in this look at the big event going on in the Wildstorm universe! What exactly will Nemesis discover about the impending apocalypse?
