What does this product do?
Refurbished computers pre-loaded with software (features and specifications listed below) are available for student rental.
How do I obtain this product?
To order, go to the Ellsworth Building at 76 West 2230 North (Between University Ave. and Freedom Blvd.) in Provo, 84604. For a map showing the location of the Ellseworth Building, refer to the link in the left sidebar. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed during Tuesday devotionals). Students must present their own valid BYU ID card in order to rent a computer. Computers are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. RESERVATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Beginning August 18, the Office of IT Computer Rentals will have extended hours and additional trailer distribution points: Helaman Quad, Heritage Main Building, and WyView Main Building. For details, click the Extended Schedule link on the left sidebar of this page.
Note: The best computers (fastest, most memory and largest hard drives) will be distributed first.

Note: All systems come with a keyboard, mouse, and appropriate cables. Printers and scanners are not currently available. Laptop computers are available in limited supply. We will put students on a waiting list if laptops are not available.

Note: Most of the software programs in the Open Access Computer Labs are installed on rental computers.
What are the costs?
If the equipment is not returned, $400.00 will be charged to the student's Financial Services account. Students are required to show their student ID card and sign an agreement accepting responsibility for the monthly rental fees, safekeeping, and return of the computer. - On-Campus Student -$12.00/month (Includes high speed wired network access)
- Off-Campus Student -$15.00/month (ISP service is not included)
- Mac Rental -$20.00/month (for students on or off campus)
- Laptop Rental -$40.00/month (for students on or off campus)
