Instructions for Netscape and Mozilla

Open the Sidebar:
A) Click on the small tab right below the Back button (Netscape only).

B) Open the View menu, select Show/Hide, and then
click on Sidebar.
- Click this link to install: Add Tab to Browser.
- A prompt will appear asking you to Add Tab to Sidebar. Click OK.

A new tab labeled Merriam-Webster Search will appear below any previously installed
Sidebar tabs. Click on this to open the tab.

Choose a reference and enter a word in the search box. The results will display in the main browser
window.
Instructions for Firefox
- Click this link to install: Add Tab to Browser.

The Add Bookmark window will open. Select a folder for your bookmark and then click OK.
Selecting the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder will add a "Merriam-Webster Search"
bookmark to the Bookmarks Toolbar.
Selecting the Bookmarks folder will add a "Merriam-Webster Search" bookmark to
the Bookmarks menu.
- Click the Merriam-Webster Search bookmark to open it in the Sidebar.

Choose a reference and enter a word in the search box. The results will display in the main browser
window.
Note: This Download is not compatible with Internet Explorer. To install a similar
feature into Internet Explorer, see the
Merriam-Webster Online Toolbar.
