This service lets you print documents through the internet to any authorized printing station on campus. A universal Windows or Macintosh (excluding Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard) print driver allows you to send print jobs to the system and pick them up at any authorized printing station on campus. If you are printing from your own computer, you must first download a print driver. These are the same print drivers that are already installed in the Open Access Computer Labs, Open Access Kiosks and TEC Rooms. You will also need a BYU Signature Card or Campus Courtesy Card to pay for the printing.
To download a print driver, go to the left column of this page, click Windows Vista Client, Windows XP Client, or Mac Client, depending on your computer's operating system. You can confirm that you have successfully installed the client by opening the Start menu on your computer and clicking Printers and Faxes. If the client is correctly installed, you will see BYU Public B&W and BYU Public Color in the list of printers.
For additional details, click Printing Guide, in the sidebar of this page.
NOTE: Department and courtesy card users must enter the 9-digit number on their card when sending print jobs. Some department cards start with zeros. For example, if a department card says 000123456 01, the user should enter all the numbers except for the two-digit issue number at the end. Some courtesy cards do not have zeros or a two-digit issue number.
Individual assistance is available for this product. Personal Computer Support will provide individualized assistance for students that need help configuring the remote printing service on their personal machines at a fee of $6/15 minutes.
NOTE: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard does not currently support Open Access Printing.
