TEC Room

What does this product do?

A TEC Room (Technology Enhanced Classroom) brings technology into the classroom.

How do I obtain this product?

To schedule a room through Campus Scheduling, call (801) 422-3134. For ordering information or for information regarding TEC Room locations, refer to the link(s) in the left sidebar.

What are the choices?

Each TEC Room podium has a computer that includes the following:

  • CD-ROM and DVD drive
  • Flat screen monitor
  • USB cable

Each TEC Room also includes the following:

  • VCR/CD/DVD combo player
  • Video/computer projector
  • Speakers
  • Universal cable that includes a network cable
  • Laptop computer connection (monitor, network and audio)
  • Input connections (video and audio)
  • Wireless mouse

With these components, you can show PowerPoint presentations; watch videos, DVD's and cable TV; play CDs; browse the internet and attach laptops and other audio/video equipment.

The Media Control Panel, the interface through which all room functions are run, is user-friendly and simplifies functions so that unfamiliar users can understand how to use it. TEC Rooms also have the same interface and software available, so you will feel comfortable in any room.

Note: For best results, we recommend that you use the VCR/DVD machine rather than the CD-ROM and DVD drive on the computer when accessing non-data formats on the TEC Room podiums. To view data and audio CD track information on the computer screen, use the computer CD-ROM and DVD drive on the computer.

For additional information, refer to the link(s) in the left sidebar or contact your Account Manager.
