Since Microsoft Office 2007 was released early in 2007, interest in adopting this new desktop productivity suite has steadily grown. Although there no is currently no mandate for users to upgrade to the new programs, Microsoft Office Professional suites 2003 and 2007 are available for installation on employee computers. Open Access Labs and TEC Rooms switched to Office 2007 as the default desktop applications in July 2007. The Office Pro suite includes the following programs:

Since the 2007 version of MS Office is significantly different than the previous 2003 version and uses different file formats for its documents, the Office of IT has organized several resources to ease the transition to Office 2007.
