Family Expo + Family Outreach Conference + Families Under Fire = BYU Family Conference BYU Families Under Fire is now the
BYU Conference on Family Life: Strengthening Families in a Dangerous World

February 1 and 2, 2008 (Friday and Saturday)

The School of Family Life and the Division of Continuing Education will be combining all three family conferences (Family Expo, Families Under Fire, and Family Outreach) into one annual conference called "The BYU Conference on Family Life: Strengthening Families in a Dangerous World." This conference will be held the first Friday and Saturday in February and will combine aspects from each of these three conferences. It will feature inspirational speakers similar to those participating in Women's Conference and Education Week but on a smaller scale. These speakers will present ways to strengthen families, teaching parents how to raise up a righteous posterity and help prevent the problems that often arise in modern family life. There will also be experts in the fields of therapy, counseling, and family issues giving specific hands-on information and hope to families who are struggling or dealing with real and often tragic problems attacking our society, families, and individuals today. This conference will also feature family outreach efforts involving how-to learning on a range of topics, from choosing resources to reaching families.

An option is available for one credit hour in BYU Marriage, Family, and Human Development (MFHD 595R).

This conference is sponsored by the School of Family Life, the Division of Continuing Education, the Alumni Association, and Religious Education.
