Welcome to Bee Season 2007–2008. We have exciting changes to share with you:

1. Spell It! is available online FREE through www.myspellit.com. This interactive Web site features links to Merriam-Webster definitions and pronunciations, challenge words for advanced spellers, activities, and printable study lists.

2. Schools: To participate, your school—or a benefactor on behalf of your school—must enroll through our Web site by October 15. Enrollment benefits include:

• spelling bee eligibility for your students,
• three grade-specific levels of the new 2008 Classroom Pronouncer Guide for classroom spelling bees,
• the 2008 School Pronouncer Guide for school bees, and
• important information about your local bee program.

3. Rules: Click here to access our Rules for Local Spelling Bees. These Rules include a complete list of our recently revised eligibility requirements along with detailed information about officials’ and spellers’ roles and responsibilities.
