CTV First With Viewers as Ontarians Choose Election 2007
Once again, Ontarians have voted CTV as their broadcaster of choice for yesterday's historic provincial election. BBM Nielsen Media Research confirms that CTV drew more viewers than any other network for its Election 2007 coverage with 361,000 viewers in Ontario, 59 per cent more than the CBC (No. 2 with 227,000 viewers) and more than double the little-watched election coverage on Global (136,000). In total, more than two million viewers watched all or some part of CTV's Election 2007 coverage.

CTV Signs So You Think You Can Dance Canada Deal
Cannes, France (October 9, 2007) - Get your dancing shoes on Canada - So You Think You Can Dance is coming your way. Canada's No. 1 broadcaster, CTV, together with 19 Entertainment, Ltd and dick clark productions, announced today it will develop, produce and broadcast So You Think You Can Dance Canada, an all-new Canadian version of the hit international series. In the latest deal for CTV at MIPCOM, the Canadian format rights to the series were secured from 19 Entertainment, Ltd. and dick clark productions, co-owners of the format. The deal was completed in Cannes, France today between Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc. and 19 Entertainment's Simon Fuller, creator of the series. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
