Why is it my favorite procedural? Easy, it has a functioning, playful sense of humor. |

There will be some of that civic marketing puffery when the beauty pageant odd couple of Alan Thicke and ex-"Apprentice" diva of destruction Omarosa Stallworth show up at a plush resort in Tucson to host the 21st annual competition. A panel of judges then selects the most worthy married woman among 51 contestants -- including Michigan hopeful Laura Loveberry of Quincy -- to ascend to the semiexalted title of Mrs. America. |

Summertime and the living is not only easy, but uneventful. That appeared to be the case with Arbitron's radio ratings for June, July and August released Tuesday. As usual, oldies station WOMC had a summer surge and several stations had their usual soft summer numbers. Oldies music is a proven summertime radio fave. |
