C.H. Currey Memorial Fellowship
Annual. Award of $20,000
For the writing of Australian history from original sources.

Nancy Keesing Fellowship
Annual. Award of $10,000
For research into aspects of Australian life and culture using the resources of the State Library.

National and State Libraries Australasia and Library Council of NSW Honorary Fellowships
Annual. No financial award
Offered to the top shortlisted applicants for the C.H. Currey Memorial Fellowship and the Nancy Keesing Fellowship.

Religion, Church & Missions Fellowship
Award of $40,000
This single fellowship will be awarded for a 12 month period to describe the library's key holdings in this field and for production of a relevant piece of original research.

Milt Luger Fellowships
Two awards of $5,000 and $3,000
For projects which investigate and document aspects of Australian life, history and culture using the resources of the State Library. Open to persons aged between 18 and 25 years.

Visiting Scholars-in Residence
Discretionary. No financial award
For research on specific subjects with a strong emphasis on the Library's collections.

National Biography Award
Annual. Award of $20,000
For a published work of biographical or autobiographical writing.

Jean Arnot Memorial Fellowship
Annual. Award of $1,000
For an outstanding original paper on any aspect of librarianship by female librarian or female student of librarianship.

The State Librarian's Metcalfe Fellowship at UNSW
Periodic. Award of $2,500
For students at UNSW, with applicants selected for academic merit based on their outline for proposed area of study and demonstrated interest in librarianship.

Blake Dawson Waldron Prize for Business Literature
Annual. Award of $30,000
For a published work of commentary in the fields of business and finance.

Miles Franklin Literary Award
Annual. Award of $42,000
For a novel of the 'highest literary merit, presenting Australian life in any of its phases' and which is published in the year of entry of the Award. (In association with Trust as Trustee and Cauz Group Pty Ltd as organiser/administrator)

Annual. Award of $20,000.
For women writers of a published book of fiction or non-fiction classifiable as 'life writing'.
Dobbie Literary Award
Annual. $2,500
For a first published work by a woman author of fiction or non-fiction classifiable as 'life writing'.
