  • A volume, elegantly bound, containing a manuscript copy of the poem ‘Poem in October’ by Dylan Thomas, with watercolour drawings by Nicholas Parry, 2007
  • A collection of drawings by Jack Jones (1922-93), being works on papers, on canvas and on board

 

 

    Manuscripts

     

      • A holograph poem entitled ‘Leisure’ by the poet W H Davies (1871-1940)
      • A notebook containing copies of works by ‘Ann of Swansea’ (Mrs Julia Ann Hatton, née Kemble). The manuscript is contemporary with the writer, but not in her hand
      • 2 manuscript volumes relating to Dr Richard Pughe (fl. 1780), surgeon and apothecary of Machynlleth, and his nephew, Robert Pughe (d.1837).
      • Mona Vetusta – a manuscript volume containing drawings of ancient buildings in Anglesey
      • A collection of 50 manuscript and typescript poems by Clifford Dyment (1914-71), a poet brought up in Caerleon
      • An account of a tour to Killarney, Ireland, August 1826, by John Parker, being a continuation of a journal kept by the Library in NLW MS 18248A
      • A letter and receipt, 17 December 1907, in the hand of Sir John Morris-Jones to one Mr John Hughes
      • A poem, dated 6 February 1932, by and in the hand of ‘Crwys’ (William Williams, 1875-1968) entitled ‘Dim Gwaith’. The poem was published in Trydydd Cerddi Crwys (Wrexham, 1935) under the teitl ‘Y Rhondda’.
      • 4 letters, 1898-9, from Charles Ashton (1848-99) to Hubert Smith
      • A copy of the programme of the Mold National Eisteddfod, 1873, printed on a piece of blue silk. It was at this eisteddfod that a public meeting was held to call for the establishment of a national library for Wales
      • A letter, 1909, from George Eyre Evans to Will [?W T Evans] and a postcard, 1908, from him to W T Evans, Llanon
      • The genealogy of the Prices, Gogerddan, by Thomas Jones, 1598, on parchment glued on canvas
      • A letter, 1903, from Sir John Ballinger, to the Reverend T Llechid Jones, and a letter, 1925, from Ifano Jones to the same recipient, together with a printed leaflet 'Must be in the hands of all future Bibliographers and Historians of the Principality'. The items were found in the publication A History of Printing and Printers in Wales to 1810 by Ifano Jones, 1925

                • A collection of 26 letters, 1887-1901, to the artist H Clarence Whaite (1828-1912) from Frederick Alfred Slocombe, his brother-in-law, and Shirley Slocombe, his nephew
                • Additional papers of the journalist and author, John Tripp (1927-86), comprising correspondence and a collection of prose works, photographs and various other papers
                • Papers of Ambrose Williams (1913-2001), Porthmadog and Cardiff, who campaigned for several years from the 1960s onwards to secure Industrial and Technological institutions for Wales
                • A diary, in 2 volumes, 1845-48, with accounts of tours, including Powis Castle and Wynnstay, by Lucy Caroline Bridgeman
