We endeavour to protect items from the Library’s collections by implementing conservation techniques. The majority of these objects are organic in nature, but despite the fact that they contain elements that decay, it is possible to slow down this deterioration and to extend the lifespan of our treasures for future generations.
In order to make the best use of resources, the Library has a Collection Care Policy that prioritises the work and ensures that the appropriate techniques and best environmental conditions are used to safeguard our artefacts.
