Reporting an emergency
A number of members of staff are qualified in first aid. Any accident or illness should be reported either to the supervisor of one of the Reading Rooms or to a member of the uniformed security staff in the Central Hall.

The fire alarm is a continuous ringing. Readers should evacuate the building as directed by members of staff and follow the green signs “Emergency EXIT Brys” to make their way to the front outside terrace of the Library, using the doors on the lower ground floor (Lefel -1).
