The Office of Australian War Graves (OAWG) is responsible for

• the administration and maintenance of the graves throughout Australia and the South Pacific as agent for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission
• the provision and maintenance in perpetuity of memorials in Australia to those who have died in wars since WW II and those who have died post-war of war-related causes, and
• the construction and maintenance of memorials overseas at sites of military significance to Australia.
