Introduction

To understand news about the latest research into degenerative eye diseases, one must first understand how this research is done. This section will explain the process of doing any medical research, the scientific method; how that research gains credibility through peer review and the disclosure of proprietary interests; and how new, experimental treatments being researched make it from the lab to the public.
