How to Buy

Shopping at SimonSays.com is simple. When you find a product you'd like to purchase, click the "Add to Cart" button.

l. View Entire Cart
Your Cart displays all the items you have selected. (Don't worry, you can still make changes.) It also provides a subtotal--before any shipping charges and taxes are applied--for your purchase. After reviewing the contents of your Cart, click on "Proceed to Checkout." NOTE: If you sign in to your account but do not complete an order, the items in your Cart will remain there for 60 minutes. You can come back at any time within that time frame, click the Cart link atthe top of most pages on the site, and complete your order.

2. Proceed to Checkout
All customers are taken to our Checkout page, where you can sign in.

3. Provide Shipping Details
If you are a buying a physical product, we'll ask for a shipping address for the order you are placing. Once you enter this information, click Continue.

4. Choose a Payment Method
Here you select your payment method. If your billing address is different from your shipping address, you'll be asked to enter it now.

5. Review and Place Your Order
You're almost done! On the Review page you'll find a summary of your order, including the final cost. Before you submit your order, you'll also have the chance to change any of the shipping or payment information you've entered so far. when you're ready, click "Place Your Order" to complete the ordering process.

6. Your Order Number
Finally, we display a page with your order number, which you should save for your records. Shortly after this page displays, you will receive an email confirming the details of your order.

Returning Customer Checkout
If you've shopped at SimonSays.com before and have an account, our systems let you save default shipping and billing information and place orders quickly.

How do I place a backorder?

Occasionally, items you purchase on our site may be backordered. If this is the case, you will be notified by e-mail within 24 hours. This email will include instructions for canceling your order, if you so desire, along with a time frame for delivery of the backordered item(s). If you choose not to cancel your order, your credit card will be billed and you will receive notification by email when we ship your item(s). If a backordered item is not shipped within 30 days, the order will be automatically cancelled and payment refunded to your credit card. You will be notified by email of the cancellation.

How do I place a preorder?

To preorder an item that has not yet been published or released, simply follow the normal order submission process. Within 24 hours, you will be notified by email with an estimated date of delivery for the preordered item(s). This email will include instructions for canceling your order, if you so desire. If you choose not to cancel your order, your credit card will be billed and you will receive notification by email when we ship your item(s). If a preordered item has not shipped within 30 days of the estimated date of delivery, the order will be automatically cancelled and payment refunded to your credit card. How do I cancel my Backorder or preorder?

To cancel a backordered or preordered item, simply click on "My Account," then "Cancel Items or Orders." Log in and click on the order number you wish to cancel, then click the "Cancel Unshipped Items" link next to the order you wish to cancel. You will be asked to conform the cancellation and will receive an email confirming the cancellation request. Any payments that have been made in connection with the cancelled item[s] will be refunded to your credit card..

About Shipping

The table below displays the shipping and handling charges applied to online orders. SimonSays.com ships to the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. At this time we do not ship to Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, P.O. Boxes, international addresses, APO or FPO addresses, or prisons/correctional facilities/penitentiaries.

Delivery charges are displayed in US dollars. During the checkout process, you will be able to select your preferred shipping service. The cost will be calculated for you and displayed for your approva1.

Please note that there are no shipping charges for eBook purchases.

Delivery Time Frames:

UPS Standard Ground: Orders placed via UPS Standard Ground are not guaranteed to be delivered within a certain time frame and may take up to 2 weeks to arrive.

UPS 2nd Day Air: Should arrive within 2-3 business days.

UPS Next Day Air: Should arrive within 1-2 business days.

Can I have my order shipped outside of the US?
Unfortunately, international shipping is not available at this time through SimonSays.com

Return Policy

We'll refund your online purchase if you:

  • Return new books, unopened CDs, or cassettes in their original condition.
  • Include your packing slip or invoice.
  • Return within 30 days of the shipment date listed on your packing slip
  • Ship all returns, by traceable means, with the original packing slip or invoice, to:

  • The return procedure above applies only to those items purchased from SimonSays.com. It does not apply to books bought at another bookseller, online, or retail store.
  • We cannot be responsible for packages lost during return. Therefore, we highly recommend that your return be sent as an insured package. The credit for your return will be applied to the credit card used to make the purchase. It may take up to two credit card billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement.

    Desk and Exam copies

    DESK COPIES
    Desk copies of Simon & Schuster titles that have been adopted for course use are available free to professors. Orders must meet the following criteria: one free desk copy per single order of twenty or more copies; one title per order; orders will only be shipped to a verifiable school address. Request a desk copy.

    EXAMINATION COPIES
    Exam copies of Simon & Schuster titles that are under review for course use are available at a 50% discount, plus shipping and handling to professors. One exam copy per single copy order with discount not to exceed $75. Simon & Schuster will provide a maximum of 12 exam copies per professor per year. We do not ship to Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, P.O. Boxes, international addresses, APO or FPO addresses. Request an examination copy.
