Tony Bahou is originally from Houston, Texas, and is a graduate of the University of Arizona-Tucson.

Before coming to Channel 16, Tony worked at the FOX station in Biloxi, Miss. He started in the TV sports business because it brought his two favorite things together -- sports and telling stories.

"Sports is an ever changing story with different endings all the time," he says. "I can't believe that I get paid for what I love to do."

When he is not at work, Tony enjoys all sports -- especially golf -- watching old movies and listening to jazz music. His favorite movie is "The Natural" and favorite book is "Catcher in the Rye."

"I hope to bring the non-traditional sports viewer in by telling interesting stories about different people and things and to have the viewers have fun watching sports on WAPT," he says. "I've found that the Jackson area is very charming, with people who are sincere".
