POTAWATOMI

Traditional Nishnabek Territory is located in southern Wisconsin, northern Illiniois, and southern Michigan. Many Nishnabek People were settled in Oklahoma and Kansas by the advancing American colonists. Other Nishnabek People, however, managed to flee into southern Ontario, Canada.
