Did you know that 1 in 5 people in Ontario will experience a mental health problem at some point in his or her lifetime? That could be your friend, your neighbour, or even yourself. The good news is that with the proper care and support, people affected by mental illness can continue to lead productive and rewarding lives.
More than ever before, CMHA, Ontario relies on public support to provide the programs and services that are so desperately needed. These programs include support groups, crisis response, housing, vocational support and many others throughout Ontario. The multifaceted and ever-changing nature of our public health care system makes the continuation of these successful programs even more essential.
How can I help?
There are many ways that you can help make mental health matter. There are as many ways to get involved as there are great reasons to do it!
- Donations Donations by our caring supporters make the difference in our efforts. Your support can be a step towards wellness for a sufferer of mental illness and help reduce the stigma that many individuals face.
- Bike Challenge
Participate in our annual bike race with your friends and co-workers
to raise money for mental health.
- Planned Giving
Most commonly done as charitable bequests, planned gifts can be arranged
now to provide funds to Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario at some
time in the future. Planned gifts are easy to set up, and they can provide
you with both current and future tax savings.
Donor Bill of Rights
CMHA, Ontario is dedicated to morally and financially responsible fundraising
practices. Our organization respects the rights of our donors and adheres
to the guidelines of the Ethical Fundraising &
Financial Accountability Code developed by the
