4.   Assertive Community Treatment Association (USA)
ACTA consists of mental health treatment providers, people with mental illness and their family members, government agency officials, mental health advocacy groups, and others committed to the ACT service model. The association develops and maintains ACT standards, offers program certification, provides education and training, collectc, analyzec, and disseminatec program evaluation information, and advocates with policy makers for the continued development of ACT services.

5.   Ombudsman Ontario
The Ombudsman's job is to investigate complaints about the administration of provincial government organizations. If you feel a provincial government organization has treated you in a way that is unfair, illegal, unreasonable, mistaken, or just plain wrong, you should bring the matter forward to Ombudsman Ontario.

8.   Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee
The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee is part of the Family Justice Services Division of the Ministry of the Attorney General, Ontario. The OPGT is responsible for protecting mentally incapable people, among other duties. Resources on the OPGT site include a Guide to the Substitute Decisions Act, the Role of the OPGT in Making Substitute Health Care Decisions, a Power of Attorney Kit, information about regulated forms, becoming a guardian, the Capacity Assessment Office, and more.

Bereaved Families provides support for people who have lost an immediate family member – an infant, a child, an adult child, a parent, a brother or a sister, an adult sibling, a grandchild or a spouse. Bereaved Families supports the unique circumstances faced by survivors of violent death, survivors of completed suicide, and families seeking pregnancy after loss.

10.   Mental Health Implementation Task Force Reports
The Mental Health Implementation Task Forces were convened in 1999 to provide recommendations and advice to the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) regarding the implementation of a restructured mental health system in the province of Ontario. The nine final task force reports were submitted to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care in January 2003 and released to the public on December 12, 2003.
