The Internet has often been cited as being a new breeding ground for racism and bigotry, especially since it seems a free-for-all environment, in which the laws of the outside world do not apply. I CARE questions that view by addressing the issues of how to combat racism and promote anti-racism on the Internet.

 

Crosspoint is the Internet's largest collection of links in the field of human rights, anti-racism, refugees, women's rights, antifascism, Holocaust and so on. Crosspoint also lists links to Jewish organizations, migrant organizations and others. It  was built and is being maintained by the Magenta Foundation in Amsterdam.
The European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) was established in 1997 by the European Union as an independent body to contribute to the struggle against racism, xenophobia and antisemitism throughout Europe. The EUMC works with the Council of Europe, the United Nations and other international organizations. It has the task of reviewing the extent and development of racist, xenophobic and antisemitic phenomena in the European Union and promoting 'best practice' among the member states.
B1splc1.gif (673 bytes) Southern Poverty Law Center is a non-profit US organization that combats hate, intolerance and discrimination through education and litigation. Its programmes include Teaching Tolerance and the Intelligence Project, which incorporates Klanwatch and the Militia Task Force. (English)
