Ferndale Store Owner Was Shot To Death
Man Leaves Behind 5 Children

FERNDALE, Mich. -- A 64-year-old Ferndale store owner was shot to death in his store Friday, police said.
Karim Khamarko, owner of the Dollar Plus Club store on Hilton Road and Annabelle Street, was shot twice and later died from his wounds, police said.

A customer found Khamarko bleeding behind the store counter, police said.
Khamarko owned the store for 10 years. He was known to many in the community as "Gary." He left behind five children.
His family said they hope someone will come forward.
"I wish you could see how loved he was," said Khamarko's daughter Brenda. "What a man he was. What you took from us."
