Despite Max hiking prices for its ad-free plans this week, the streamer has unrolled a limited-time free trial to lock in new subscribers. Max is currently offering a 7-day free trial from June 6 through June 23 — just in time for the new season of “House of the Dragon,” which returns for Season 2 on June 16.

Once the free trial resumes, Max will go back to its regular monthly price. The Max ad-supported version’s price is unchanged at $9.99/month or $99.99/year, while Max’s ad-free tier in the U.S. has risen by $1 and is now $16.99/ month, and the annual plan is $169.99. The “ultimate” ad-free tier is now $20.99 per month, and by $10 per year, bringing the new annual cost to $209.99.
